The Giant and the kids

Drowing Art Brut

"Once upon a time, men and giants lived in peace and harmony. It was a time of prosperity and happiness, and together they took care of their lands. However, everything changed when some men wanted to have more wealth and lands through deception and war.

Centuries later, only one giant remained. Disappointed and tired of human evil, he went and lay down in the deep forest. Years passed, and soon his body was covered by moss and vegetation. He was at peace, sheltering the animals that needed it.

Three summers ago, two children found the place where the Giant was laying. They loved to play among the mounds and caves created by the Giant’s body. It was their secret place, where they stared at the clouds, lying on the grass, and inventing their stories.

The Giant got used to these visits, so when the kids stopped coming, he started worrying. At last, one of them came, not to play, but to cry inconsolably. The Boy told crying that to save his father, he must find the Flower of the Moon that grew in the Cave of Sunset. There was little time, and he didn’t know where this cave was.

The Boy’s pain touched the Giant, and he began to speak with him very gently. The Boy heard a voice coming out underground, saying that he wanted to help him bring this flower since he knew where to find it. The Boy was not scared, as he loved this place and knew that nothing bad was going to happen to him.

The Giant told him he was going to get up and tell him everything.

The Boy was impressed by the Giant’s height but showed no fear. He embraced the Giant’s foot and thanked him for his help. The Giant said there was no time to waste, as the Cave was three days away. So, he put the boy on his shoulder, and they started walking towards the sunset. All the way, they talked and talked, and so they became good friends. Just like the Giant said, they got the Moon Flower and managed to save the Boy’s father.

Impressed by the stories of the Giant, the Boy proposed that they travel together and tell the stories of men and giants from city to city. They could also search for more giants who probably were hiding like him.

Before embarking on their new adventure, the Boy asked the Giant why he wanted to help him. The Giant replied that by some men, humanity deserved a second chance."

Helen _ Хелен

This is a tale that unfolded in the life of a young and vivacious girl named Helen.  Just two days ago, in a cozy gazebo, drowned in the greenery of ivy, her beloved proposed to her, presenting a ring with a small sparkling gem. Helen was over the moon with joy. From that moment, images of her future wedding began to whirl in her head like a whirlwind.

Falsa tristezza_Фальшивая грусть

In the artwork presented in Art Brut style, a distinctly unsettling atmosphere emerges, filled with unexplained visual noise. The face on the canvas is barely recognizable, as if it flickers between different realities, partially dissolving in a chaos of brushstrokes. The dominant colors — green, black, and pink — evoke tension and discomfort. Green and black spots, at times, resemble static lines, like an old TV screen when the signal wavers. The strokes are sharp, haphazard, creating a texture reminiscent of a blurred, distorted image, as if someone were trying to see through layers of noise. This effect heightens the feeling of a “blurring” of reality, where the line between the viewer’s world and the figure’s world fades and vanishes. The face seems incomplete, as if these strange waves of color are consuming it, and it’s on the brink of disappearing. The painting seems to capture a moment when someone finds themselves in a glitch zone, losing orientation, balance, and connec...
